Healing Is Not Linear
Inspired by kintsugi, the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery with gold, we’ll explore healing as a process that doesn’t require erasing our cracks or returning to who we were before. Participants can reflect on rupture, repair, resilience, and the ways our experiences become part of our story.

About Art Flow
Art Flow is a 90-minute open art-making experience designed to help you slow down, create, connect, and find your flow. A flow state is that lovely place where you become absorbed in what you’re doing: the noise quiets down, time gets a little fuzzy, and your attention settles into the present moment.

Art Flow takes place on the third Monday of every month from 6:30–8:00 PM, with a new theme and creative invitation each month. The theme is yours to explore if it speaks to you - but there is no “right” way to participate. Make something meaningful, make something just because it feels good, connect with others in our shared studio space, or retreat to our quiet room for a little more solitude. You’re invited to take what you need.

Art Flow is hosted by Angela and Kate, Registered Psychotherapists and co-founders of The Grove Therapy Collective. Art therapy uses the creative process as another way to explore and express our inner experiences, especially the things that aren’t always easy to put into words. For those who would like to go a little deeper, participants have the option of a private 15-minute processing session with Angela, a Registered Psychotherapist and Art Therapist.

All art materials are provided. No artistic experience or skill is needed, and there is never an expectation to share or explain your art.

Art Flow was created as a welcoming “third space”: somewhere outside of home and work where you can make room for yourself while choosing as much or as little community as feels right.

Some art is meaningful because of what it helps us express. Some is meaningful simply because of how it feels to make it. At Art Flow, you get to choose what’s right for you.
